The Warded Children are group of mostly young people (not technically children) that live outside the towns of Hollow County, mostly in the forests, that revel in killing demons, occasionally eating their meat, and have developed their own subculture while generally stealing supplies from the townsfolk to support themselves.

- Pumps - Wield short warded spears. Led by Callen.[1]
- Bones - Smaller than the Pumps, but wield short warded spears augmented with slivers of demon bone. Led by Keet.[1]
- Wardskins - Wards initially applied with blackstem ink, but later tattooed on by Ella Cutter. Led by Stela.[2]
- Sibling - A version of tenders for the Children. Led by Brother Franq.[2]
- Sharum - Widows and children of Krasians who joined the Children, but also non-Krasians who followed their traditions and want to learn their fighting techniques. Led by Jarit, wife of deceased Drillmaster Kaval.[2]
