The art is similar to real-world arts in that practitioners make use of practiced forms called sharukin when practicing on their own. The art makes use of striking and grappling techniques to overcome other humans and even corelings.
Techniques used are brutal and feature joint locks, strikes to pressure-sensitive areas such as the groin and throat and generic strikes such as punches and kicks as well as weapon disarms and forms featuring the use of a weapon.
In latter days, the techniques were also spread to women, first in secret and then openly for the sharum'ting.
