Leesha Paper, daughter of Elona and Ernal Paper of Cutter's Hollow, born 306 AR, is one of the POV characters in The Painted Man and The Desert Spear.
Biography - Events of The Warded Man
Early Life - History Pre-Warded Man
Leesha a shy in her youth was a popular and kind girl with great intelligence but was groomed by her mother to be simply a house wife. Elona promised her to Gared Cutter, (Steave Cutters sons) some time during her early childhood( 5 - 7 years of age), Leesha however did not mind this as due to Gareds good looks and his kind treatment of her. Due to the cold manner her mother treatered her in she looked apon Gared as her savation and escape form her mother.During her youth she came to become freinds with Jonhna and everal other grils. Dispite her intelligence her mother had kept her in the dark about many things, specifically sexual protection and her own past as well as anything that would incourage her to leave or do anything besides be a house wife.
The Warded Man
In the 319AR during a demon attack the Cutter family as well as several others were left homeless. While Leesha was helping in the bucket line she was asked (ordered) by Bruna know commonly as "The Old Hag Bruna" to assist her treating the people during the last of the treated when they were left alone Bruna suffered from a spasm which Leesha saved her form by massaging her arm so her could have enough control to throw(give) her a medicine she made her drink which cured her.
During the Night of celeabrating in the town hall many of Leesha's friends spoke to her about Bruna (most of which was only rumor ). Later that Night Elona volenteered to take Gared and Steave into their home which both worried and gladened her. Bruma herself later came to ask for Leesha's help and took Gared with her as well due to the fact that he ran Jonhaa off for trying to speak to her.

General Personailty - She is kind and very responsible person. While she cares for others greatly and is motherly. She expect to be followed as she feels it s her responsibility to take care of everyone because of this she feels lonely in terms of love and deeply wants children. She is close to her farther but not her mother due to her mother selfish ways. While she is seen by many to be perfect she does have flaws; Due to the fact she was always wanted and she romanticly gain the affiction near anyone she wanted she does not know how to deal with someone she does not have feels for and the pain of loving someone who does not love them back and her actions in letting then down often come off as cruel.

Etymology
Leesha is an variation of Licia and means "From Lycia". It is a possibility that Peter V. Brett have thought of Saint Lucia that according to the legend had stayed up all night praying for her mother to get well before she fell asleep, exhausted. The next morning her mother was healthy again.
