The Klat (plural: Klats) is the national currency of Angiers and later Hollow County.
It takes the form of a lacquered wooden coin and is stamped with the seal of the Ivy Throne, though the Hollow County has Count Thamos' likeness on the backside.
It is, apparently, only worth a fraction of a Milnese gold coin, but the actual exchange rate is not clear.
When Leesha Paper became Countess, her likeness appeared on coins and brass and silver versions may have been issued as the economy grew.[Citation needed]
