I have found an image of the dice taken from a book and am attempting to re-create them as I am able but would adore assistance - does anyone consider themselves an expert in the dice?

I wish to know their complete design and to learn of their use - anything from a slight hint at to specifics would be appreciated - I am planning to skim the books again tonight to gain any insight I may have missed.
